LMLA recently had an environmental/social responsibility audit performed by graduate student Holly Lafontaine.
The results are in and LMLA, while doing many things well, has definite room for improvement and growth. Ms. Lafontaine evaluated LMLA at the level of Proactive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This evaluation is 3rd place in a continuum of 5 levels of potential CSR ranking. Over the next two years it will be LMLA’s goal to grow into the 4th level that of integrated CSR.
Some actions we will need to take include:
- Integrating CSR into the LMLA business model
- Integrating CSR into key business strategies
- Base decisions on emerging global norms of integrity, ethics and justice:What is morally expected.
LMLA imagines opportunities for student projects that will help us move in this direction and to provide students some very practical experience and portfolio building as a result. Stay tuned for further announcements in the new year.
